THE 1982 PAPER TRAIL

Assignments, then a deed of trust

On February 19, 1982, a partial assignment from Amir Dov and Louis Erlich to Westlands was recorded at Vol. 82, Page 216 (Doc #1494), covering Fisher A-0023. Lease assignments to Reef Resources Corp and Westlands covering Kuykendall A-0034 appear at Vol. 82, Page 248 (Doc #1503), Vol. 82, Page 262 (Doc #1507), and Vol. 82, Page 266 (Doc #1508). A deed of trust from Reef and Westlands to Union BK CA was recorded at Vol. 72, Page 587 (Doc #1509). Its present effect requires examination of the instrument and any releases.

The RRC ledger lists the Vajdak 1H, API 42-051-33485, in the J. B. Chance survey A-9 with cumulative production of 4,360,693 MCF of gas. The Chance survey also appears in the 1982 deed of trust involving Westlands. That shared survey reference is a lead for mapping and title work, not proof that the well produces from acreage in which Westlands held an interest.
